Multimedia Publishing

Relates to individuals that spend 50% or more of their time authoring multimedia titles and software games for corporate clients and entertainment publishers utilizing computers with CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drives. Typically involves the publishing of a combination of sound, graphics, animation, movies, music, slides and video or a subset of hypermedia, which combines the aforementioned elements with hypertext especially for the purpose of education, entertainment, advertising or publicity.

Multimedia publishing emphasizes the mechanical assembly of digital products, and may not include the conceptual designers, architects or subject matter experts that multimedia publications typically incorporate.
