Database & Middleware

Relates to individuals that spend 50% or more of their time organizing the collection of data and objects for easy storage, access, search and retrieval, and/or are involved in the integration of legacy data systems and specialized user interfaces. These individuals work with data that may be textual, numerical, image or object-based, and is often tailored to suit end-user requirements.

Middleware refers to integration software that typically sits between two or more layers of software or data, and may perform complex translations among applications, operating systems, and databases.
