Communications

The exchange or transmission of thoughts, messages, images or information, as by speech, signals, writing, or other behavior through art, media or technique of using words to effectively express oneself with others in a particular time and place.  Includes the use of nonverbal communications such as facial expressions, body language, or gestures, or the use of visual or audio based communications (images, pictures, paintings, photos, video, motion pictures, telephone, e-mail, cable TV or satellite broadcasts).  The most common form of daily communication is through face-to-face (same time, same place) interaction between individuals who are sensitive to another persons’ concerns as they take turns talking and listening.
